In October of 2014, Ninebot received an investment totaling 80 million dollars from Xiaomi, Sequoia Capital and Shunwei. In March of 2015, Ninebot acquired Segway to form a global enterprise; In the same year, it completed the Series-B financing of 60 million dollars from Intel and GIC. In October of 2017, Segway-Ninebot completed the Series-C financing from a fund managed by SDIC and China Mobile Fund. On October 29th, 2020, Segway-Ninebot successfully went public on STAR Market of Shanghai Stock Exchange (Stock name: Ninebot Limited, Stock code: 689009) and became China's first public company in the structure of VIE and CDR.
