To produce the world's highest quality printed plastic packaging, we first manufacture the finest box-grade plastics available on our own custom extruders. Our extruders produce box-grade plastics exclusively, yielding premium-quality substrates that are extremely uniform, crystal clear, and defect free. We are aware of no other clear packaging box producer that has invested in such a vertical integration program. Other manufacturers purchase carton substrates from commercial extruders that predominantly make less demanding plastic grades primarily used for thermoforming applications.
Having our own custom extruders and meticulously sourcing our own postconsumer PET waste (water and soda bottle flake) allows us to produce box-grade RPET (postconsumer PET) of unmatched quality, with 30%, or even 100% PCR, with no meaningful loss in quality or performance.
We are the world leader in radio frequency (RF) creasing. While other methods produce stiff or fragile scores and sharp edges, our proprietary Soft Crease scoring technology uses RF energy to cause a controlled displacement of material from the score lines. This results in more uniform creases, with less folding resistance, ensuring that our clear packaging boxes fold precisely, have clean lines, and maintain their crisp shape.
Our Soft Creased packaging boxes are the most recommended by automated filling line equipment manufacturers. The precision and uniformity of Soft Creases ensure that our packaging boxes run efficiently on even the highest speed equipment. And for hand-fill applications, our auto-bottom style clear plastic boxes set up quickly and easily. Time and motion studies have revealed a significant labor cost savings (up to 30%) over standard tuck cartons.
Hip Lik leading-edge, 13-color combination printing capability delivers exceptional print quality while providing more printing and decoration options. Our printing press has one gravure station and 12 UV web-flexo stations. Up to five of the flexo stations can be configured for backside printing, or swapped out for up to four rotary silkscreen and/or two cold foil units.
This remarkable capability delivers exceptional four-color process printing, bolder and more vibrant colors on clear substrates, and dazzling metallic and other special effects, to create an even greater impact at the shelf. And it allows us to accomplish in a single pass, what traditionally would require five or more passes.
We offer many graphic enhancements like embossing, hot and cold foil stamping, and every variety of frost, as well as matte and/or gloss coatings. We can simulate embossing or micro-embossing with special ink and coating applications, and we produce outstanding metallic, iridescent, and pearlescent finishes. We also offer a wide variety of proprietary special effects and printing techniques that produce spectacular visual impact, including effects that provide motion, depth, texture, and three-dimensionality.
