China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Hangzhou Engine Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd. (SINOTRUK), is responsible for the business of the whole series of engines under SINOTRUK.
SINOTRUK have two engine production bases in Hangzhou and Jinan, with a total investment of more than 8 billion yuan and have successfully built the world's leading engine manufacturing system to produce diesel and natural gas engines on two platforms of MAN technology and STEYR technology, with a total annual production capacity of 400000 engines.
Our earliest history can be traced back to 1958.
In 1964, we successfully developed the first 6120 type high-speed vehicle diesel engine in China, which filled the gap of heavy vehicle diesel engine production in China.
In 1979, we successfully developed X6130 diesel engine, won the second prize of national science and technology progress award, and played an important role in the development of national automobile industry.
In 1983, the introduction of Steyr WD615 diesel engine from Steyr company of Austria was a complete success.
In 2009, SINOTRUK signed a cooperation agreement with German MAN company. German MAN company exclusively licensed its engine technology to SINOTRUK.
