About Precaster
Precaster Enterprises Co., LTD. was funded in 1977 in Taiwan by N.T Fred Li and is a family owned business. In the early age, we started as a surveying solution provider and in this period, we accumulated experience and research energy in survey and this energy became the foundation in our research.
In 1998, we established our research and develop department and our mission is to provide measuring devices in a smooth user-friendly and fantastic operation experience by installing our creativities and the know-hows. The first handheld Laser Distance Meter was released in 2008 and we are keeping moving until now, we are at the 5th generation which keep us being a leading in performance and stable quality among the worldwide competitors.
Beyond R&D, Quality is another key element in our blood, all our products are passed inspection by 192 items in 7 categories for each unit before shipment!! Beside Handheld Laser Distance Meter, we are build up modular product and being flexible in customized. And there is more instruments on the way, like laser level and rotary lasers. We know this is not easy, but we do believe this is the way to keep ourselves as a leading and reliable laser distance meter manufacturer in world.
Our History
1977
Mr. N.T Fred Li start Precaster as a surveying solution provider in Taiwan market.
1998
Officially establish research and development team for cross line laser level and rotary laser level.
2002
Start the handheld laser distance meter project
2006
With the 6 years development, we finally release our First generation of Laser Distance Meter.
2010
The Second generation of Laser Distance Meter was released with camera shutter system which is the world first single tunnel LDM, we also establish Taichung factory and start to move all our productions to Taiwan.
2012
With the development and assistant by our vendor, the third generation of Laser Distance Meter was released. We put two laser diodes on single chip with specially designed angel for helping to create proper signals and The third generation of Laser Distance Meter was released
2014
The release of the fourth generation of Laser Distance Meter is essential than physical, we are focusing on the software side to provide a more smooth operation experience and measuring speed.
2015
A new optical design is implemented for shorter range measurement and keep the stability still.
2016
Add Industrial Business Development in Precaster, keep moving on the road to the new benchmark of measuring.
