When I was 8 years old, we adopted our first family dog from the shelter. His name was SPOT and had such a wonderful
personality and could not be more adorable Cocker Spaniel. SPOT went everywhere me and my brother went.
My brother and I would ride our bikes to the park to go fishing and he would follow behind us. He would always chase
a few ducks before settling down next to us. Cannot not express enough how integral he was to our childhood.
The year I turned 12, I went to summer camp and when I returned, life was different. I came home to some very sad
news that SPOT had been ran over by a car 3 weeks earlier. My parents didn't want to ruin my summer camp so
they waited till I got home to tell me. The reason, he got away from a faulty defective collar.
That moment stood out for me in my childhood. My brother and I were heartbroken. Little did I know, my passion to start a line of pet products actually stemmed from that moment, from my first dog, Spot.
Currently, I have three wonderful dogs; their names are Caesar, Rudy and Zimo. It's my daily routine to take them
for a walk in the morning before I go to work and also in the evening. My three buddies have three totally different
behaviors. When walking all three, it is difficult for me as these boys have different walking styles. Zimo is aggressive
and charges ahead. Rudy falls behind and is timid to walk. Caesar is good and stays by my side. I live in a city
with lots of traffic and lots dogs walking in the neighborhood and park. Walking is was even more difficult especially
during the night time. Frustrated, I tried to find the best gear to fit my dogs behavior but failed. Nothing on the market
that was secure and functional and comfortable for me also. So, I decided myself I want to develop something that
is focused on safety first, then functional and comfortable for me to handle my 3 dogs at the same time.
Hello, my name is John, I am the creator and this is how DOCO was created. DOCO means Dog's Comfort. As you
can agree, as a pet owner, they are part of your family. You want to give best and safest gear possible. Safety is the
always the most important factor in all of DOCO products. Most of the products made with reflective stitching for
night time safety and super light but durable high tensile force parts and materials. The innovative products are
made with vibrant colors and stylish fittings, influenced from my everyday life style in sunny California. I hope your
